  • Press windows button on keyboard and type "disk management" in search bar.
  • Choose "Create and format hard disk partitions" to open disk management console.

  • Now you will see the partitions of your computer's hard disk in "Disk 0" pane and connected USB in "Disk 1" pane.

Step 2: Recover USB Lost Storage Capacity

Now it is the main step in which you will create a new partition in your flash drive to recover all of it's actual storage capacity. You must collect all the data present in USB (if you have) because creation of new partition will remove all of the existing data. No doubt, there are may tools to manage partitions but we will follow the diskpart command method because its easy and does not require any third party application.
  • Press windows button on keyboard and type "diskpart" in search bar.
  • Click "Yes" if it prompts.

  • In the console, type "list disk" and press enter.
  • It will show the complete list of all drives (hard disk + USB) present in the computer.
  • Now type "select disk 1" to select your flash drive. (Remember we are selecting disk 1 because it shows USB according to the example image. Be careful about the selection of disk).
  • After it, type "clean" to clear all the existing damaged partition on the drive.
  • Now type, "create partition primary" to produce a new and fresh partition to allocate all the unallocated space on USB.
  • At the end, type "exit" to terminate the program.
