How To Make ISO Image Of Window Form DVD

ISO image of a window is used for several purposes but one important object is to create a boot-able USB with the ISO image. Making an ISO image form windows DVD is not a big task. I am posting this article because many of my friends ask me to make their USB boot-able because they do not know how to make ISO image and then extract it to USB with booting property. 

Basically this whole procedure consists of the following two parts:

Get Necessary Tools


You need to have only three things before making an ISO image of window from DVD.

Lets Start


If you have the above mentioned tools then you may proceed without any hesitation. You just need to follow the below mentioned steps.
  • After downloading, installing and registering, just open "MagicISO".
  • Insert your window DVD in the Rom and wait for its loading.
  • Now go to "MagicISO", navigate to "File" >> "Open CD/DVD Drive" and select your drive.

  • Here, you will see all the files of window. The tag "Non-Bootable" will be changed to "Bootable". It means you are going to create a boot-able ISO image. (That's good).
  • Now again go to "File" >> click on "Save As".
  • A pop-up window will open to set the destination folder to save your ISO image.
  • Write a name for the ISO image and click on "Save".

Let the process complete. It may take 10-20 minutes depending on the speed of your computer and performance of DVD-Rom. After the completion of this process, you will see a packed ISO file of window. This is your Bootable ISO image.
