I asked many people either they want to make their facebook account secure from hackers or not and each person answered me "Yes". Surely you also want to make your Facebook account more secure and safe from hackers. This is due to the protection of your privacy in Facebook account. This excess use of the Facebook is forcing the hackers to find new ways to get someone's passwords.

Not only Facebook, but your other online information needs some protection. So, I already posted a detail article to keep yourself safe from hackers. Facebook is targeted with new hacking techniques such as Phishing method, tab-napping method, use of key-logger etc. Anyhow, following are some of the useful tips to stop hackers from hacking your facebook account.

Enable Login Approvals

We know Facebook gives numerous facilities to its users. One of its valued services is the "Login Approvals". As the name indicates, this service is to approve your login each time. In other words, no body can login to your account without your approval regardless he/she has your email and password. Follow these steps to enable login approvals.

• Login to your Facebook account.
• Make sure you already have entered and verified a phone number with your account.
• Go to the "Settings >> Security >> Login Approvals"
• Follow the instructions on screen to enable approvals.

• Each time you enter your email/phone and password to login to your account, a security code is sent to your registered phone number. You have to put this security code to get in your account. A new and unique code is generated each time.

• When you enter the security code and proceeds then it asks either you want to save this browser or not. If you press "Save browser" then it will not ask for security code in future for this browser only. 
• If you do not save the browser then you must get and enter the security code each time you try to login.

Keep Your Antivirus Up-to-Date

May be you are thinking that what is the connection between antivirus and hacker. I already said that the hackers are introducing new and unique methods of hacking and the one method is to force the user to download and open a specific file. I will make this thing very simple with an example on your own life.

Suppose, you ask a friend to send the pictures of a party to your email address. Your friend is an expert and he/she binds a spy software with one of your images. When you click on picture to open it, this spy software is installed on your system without any notification. You even don't know about this installation. Only your active antivirus can detect and block such spy software.

Now, this software will record your each keystroke, web pages, screen shots and cam pictures to send to your friend through its own email until you are running the same window on your system.

Keep An Eye On URL Address:

You must take your two seconds to see the URL address of a website before proceeding. It is necessary because hackers use Phishing method to hack someone's account. This method is widely used due to its features. Basically, hackers create a fake page that looks similar with the original one but its address is always changed. Users, do not see the address bar and put their email and passwords which are directly sent to the hacker. Following image will make this thing clear.

Try To Limit Yourself To Single Device

It is observed that many of the people login to their account on random devices. I noticed this thing personally in my university. Some of my fellows lack their own mobile or laptop and they try to login on any available device. This thing is not good for those who want to keep their data safe from hackers. Your account can be hacked using following methods.

Using Cookies: 

All the browsers are able to save cookies for your login details. A computer expert can easily get and explore such cookies to steal your authentication passwords. So, it is better to clear all the history and cookies after finishing your work.

Using Spy Software:

Some people have key-logger installed in their laptop or computer. This is an easy way to spy and record each keystroke on the keyboard. Surely, you will type your email and password to login to your Facebook account. This data will be recorded and revealed by laptop's owner.
